Sick of commuting? Tired of “hybrid” jobs that are really “in office” jobs in disguise? If you’re more productive at home than in an office, and want to make that arrangement permanent, we may have the position you’re after.
At CarriersEdge, we’re focused on producing great quality products and happy customers. We don’t care about being the coolest company in town, having the most amazing office perks, or the hippest staff. If you’re interested in those things, you’ll hate us.
On the other hand, if you’re not looking for a social group and just want to do great work, then you may be exactly what we’re looking for. We don’t care where you work and we won’t be looking over your shoulder micromanaging you. You’ll have minimal meetings disrupting your week, and plenty of time to focus on doing the best job possible. We’re growing, but not so quickly that things are chaotic.
As part of that growth, we’ve got an opening for a Senior Copywriter.
The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller and a strategic writer who can do more than fill a content calendar. You will help shape messaging, sharpen competitive positioning, and create persuasive content across the buyer journey.
This isn’t an agency where you’ll get crushed by client demands and deadlines. It’s also not a startup at risk of losing funding or being forced to pivot on someone’s whim. Our business is established and stable, but still small enough that we can move quickly.
If that sounds like a fit for you, send us a résumé, with links to a portfolio or work samples, and let’s get started!
About You
- You understand that the foundation of marketing success is understanding the customer, the product, and the problems it solves for them.
- You’ve delivered successful marketing in a variety of different formats, from long white papers to shorter summary pieces, and employ appropriate style and formality for each.
- You’re comfortable moving between strategic and tactical work. One day you might be refining a positioning angle or competitive message. The next you might be writing a landing page, customer story, email sequence, or webinar outline.
- You know how to interview subject matter experts, pull useful insights out of people who are too close to the material, and turn those insights into messaging that resonates with buyers.
- You recognize that while writing may be inherently a creative activity, organization and administrative housekeeping are equally important contributors to success.
- You can’t stand bad Spelling or Grammar. The incorrect use of capitals in the previous sentence is driving you crazy right now.
The Position
- Produce high-quality content across multiple formats, including landing pages, email nurture sequences, blog/SEO content, case studies, sales decks, webinar scripts, comparison assets, customer stories, and proof-driven content.
- Support the Director of Marketing in developing messaging for key audiences, offers, campaigns, partner channels, and market expansion initiatives.
- Apply behavioural science principles and conversion-writing best practices to improve the effectiveness of landing pages, campaigns, nurture sequences, and other marketing assets.
- Adapt writing style and structure to suit the goal, channel, and stage of the buyer journey.
- Work with channel partners to develop cross-promotion opportunities and assist with delivery.
- Participate in development and lead the execution of a robust and varied content calendar for two brands.

- Proven experience with current SEO/GEO best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to produce compelling, topical, timely content within short timeframes.
- Strong interviewing skills and ability to coax stories and insights out of subjects.
- Strong organization and project management (using tools such as Jira, Monday, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail, so please find a way to mention soccer in your cover letter.
