Our Business
FISPAN Services Inc. (FISPAN) is an Enterprise SaaS FinTech company that allows banks to deploy embedded financial products and services to create a seamless banking connection for their corporate clients. Our product aims to provide instant scale and reach for banks who want to remove friction and add value by enabling their commercial banking clients to access banking services through their preferred ERP / accounting platform.
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in downtown Vancouver, FISPAN is on a mission to create the best product in the FinTech industry and fundamentally change the way that companies bank. Being the market leader in ERP Banking, we work with the world’s Tier 1 banks with assets exceeding $3T, including J.P. Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, TD and Bank of Montreal.
We are looking for dynamic and passionate individuals to join our high performance team and contribute to our rapid growth and exciting journey.
About the Role
FISPAN is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to own Payments & Bank Connectivity for multiple dedicated bank partners. This is a senior, product-adjacent role with end-to-end ownership — from commercial and technical onboarding, through scoping and engineering delivery, to certification, go-live and post-launch activities. You’ll be the primary liaison between bank partners and FISPAN’s Engineering, QA, PMO and Support teams, and you’ll influence the platform strategy for scaling safe, reusable connectivity.
Why this role matters: bank integrations are core to our product value. The Senior BA ensures partner success, mitigates operational risk, and helps shape which capabilities become platform features versus partner-specific. If you enjoy technical problem solving, negotiating with external partners, and driving rigorous testing and certification, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as FISPAN’s single technical/business lead for assigned bank partners.
- Translate commercial commitments and bank requirements into detailed Scoping Documents, data mappings, transformation rules, interface diagrams, and E2E test plans.
- Produce and maintain JIRA epics/stories with clear, testable Given/When/Then acceptance criteria; ensure Definition of Ready (functional test cases in GitHub) is enforced.
- Coordinate design reviews with Technical Bank SMEs, Architecture and Engineering; document and manage platform vs bank-specific exceptions.
- Lead certification and UAT with banks: coordinate QA E2E automation, manage sandbox/mocks (Montebank/SFTP) and secure certification sign-off.
- Validate production readiness: runbooks, monitoring/alerting, key/certificate lifecycle management, rollback plans and support handover.
- Own incident escalation and post-mortems for assigned connectors; drive durable remediation.
- Champion BA/connectivity standards and reusable artifacts; mentor junior BAs and raise the team’s capability.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years in business analysis, product, integration or payments roles — experience with bank connectivity highly preferred.
- Deep working knowledge of payment and connectivity standards: ISO 20022 / ISO XML, NACHA, IFX and common flat-file formats.
- Hands-on familiarity with SFTP, TLS/certificates, encryption, REST APIs, OAuth and mock/test infrastructures (e.g., Montebank).
- Proven experience running bank certification programs and coordinating bank UAT cycles.
- Strong experience with Agile delivery: JIRA, backlog management, DoR enforcement.
- Comfortable with test automation concepts, CI/CD and GitHub-based test artifacts.
- Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to negotiate technical and operational trade-offs with senior bank counterparts.
- Strong analytical skills (SQL or analytics tools such as Qlik/Tableau) and technical troubleshooting (JSON/XML, Postman, logs).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with ERP/accounting system integrations.
- Familiarity with regulatory/security requirements for financial integrations (PII, vendor assessments).
- Prior experience in product or program leadership at a SaaS company.
- Degree in business, finance, computer science or related field; relevant industry certifications.
