What you'll be responsible for
- Ownership of projects, from solutioning to deployment.
- Implementation of features, bug resolution, and maintenance of our applications.
- Sharing leadership of technical, architecture and design decisions.
- Supporting the team by helping to improve software development processes and techniques.
- Helping your peers, and especially less experienced developers, become better, more rounded software craftspeople.

What we'd love to see in your work history
Core Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- 4+ years of experience building data-intensive backend services
- Proficient with Python, Ruby and/or one of the general purpose programming languages
- Experience with NoSQL/SQL databases
- Solid experience with Object Oriented architecture and Design
- Experience with testing frameworks
- Experience working at startups or agile teams with diverse responsibilities
Preference will be given to candidates with the following
- Experience in integrating AI/ML solutions with familiarity Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and vector embeddings
- Familiarity with Machine Learning lifecycle
- Experience building SaaS applications

Location: Work remote, or hybrid from our laid-back office (located in Toronto's Junction Triangle on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays)
Salary: $120,000-$140,000 CAD per year
