Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly-motivated and adaptable Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and contribute to building a Company on a strong foundation of financial processes and workflows to support the mission. 

How you might spend your days

• Contributing to preparing AbCellera’s financial records in compliance with company policies and US GAAP
• Assisting in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes by preparing detailed financial reports and schedules related to fixed assets, leases, indirect tax compliance, and supporting other close activities
• Participating in the maintenance of internal accounting controls as they relate to overall financial reporting in compliance with SOX regulations
• Managing the fixed asset register by collaborating with cross-functional teams to support accurate recording of fixed asset additions, transfers, disposals, and maintenance of amortization schedules
• Assisting with internal and external auditor requests for period end reporting requirements
• Collaborating with special projects, transactions, and general operations where necessary
• Providing general support to your Finance teammates as needed

We'd love to hear from you if

• You have a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar role or a CPA and/or equivalent designation
• You are proficient in using Excel and Google Sheets
• You are a team player who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• You have impeccable attention to detail 
• You are able to work independently, and demonstrate initiative and accountability
• You think critically and show great judgment in your decision-making process

What we offer

AbCellera’s hiring range for this role is CAD $73,500 - $91,900 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.
