We are looking for a sales professional to join our dynamic and progressive sales team.  Herbaland's mission is to bring health and wellness to everyone by creating natural health products that are functional, sustainable, and environmentally friendly, all while ensuring prosperity for our employees. 

Summary:

The Sales Representative responsibilities include acting as the principal point of contact between the business and its customers, identifying new markets and customer leads, obtaining new customers, servicing existing customer's needs, attending tradeshows local and overseas, providing pitches to new customers and working alongside the Marketing department to achieve the sales targets.

Job Duties:

  • Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
  • Services existing accounts and obtains orders
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Prioritizes sustainability and the environment when engaged in business relations
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.) and email
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3-years' experience in customer support or sales and account generation
  • Bi-lingual French/English speakers are desired.
  • Nutraceutical experience is desired
  • Presentation skills are required
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & listening)
  • Hard-working, proactive and a team player
  • Reduce environmental impact whenever possible
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with other general computer skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as being a strong team player
  • Have good attendance and safety record

Work Conditions:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday availability
  • Sitting/walking throughout the day
  • Open to traveling to pursue and secure new prospects.
  • Travel to on-site and off-site locations will be required
  • Work both indoors and outdoors at tradeshows/demos

Successful candidate will have to pass a Criminal Record Search. 

All interviews are in person in our Richmond, BC based home office during normal business hours.
