ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE
As Sales Director, you will lead the external Herschel sales team for Major and Independent accounts. You will be instrumental to success across all wholesale channels in North America, the position requires forecasting, setting sales and profit goals, and driving product initiatives to achieve the fiscal budget. You will report to the SVP of Sales and will interface between Sales, Marketing, Product, Planning, Sales Operations, Visual Merchandising and Finance departments to ensure sales plans are achieved. This role is based at our HQ in Vancouver, Canada.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's long-term business objectives.
  • Forecast a 3-year Business Plan and work towards common goals for Herschel’s
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the outside sales force, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Develop ABC account business plans and go-to-market documents to drive profitable customer growth.
  • Direct responsibility to drive the Sales Team and initiatives to achieve fiscal sales and margin budgets.
  • Create new programs to compel prebook and in-season ATS growth.
  • Oversee channel-appropriate product assortments and receipt plans to ensure maximum sell-through.
  • Coordinate wholesale go-to-market initiatives with the Merchandising, Design, Marketing and Sales Teams.
  • Build strong relationships and partnerships with Key Accounts identified in the 3-year plan.
  • Build and manage a budget for travel, sell-in needs, account promotion, and marketing related to sell-through.  
  • Undertake regular travel to accounts, trade events, and retail sales summits.
  • Ensure timely account sales presentations to achieve key planning/purchasing timelines.
  • Actively engage in purchasing decisions to maximize full/on-time order book fulfillment.
  • Lead monthly selling performance reviews with M&D and Sales Reps.
  • Manage open orders to ensure on-time delivery and monthly shipping targets.
  • Participate and promote the brand in trade groups and events in North America.

ABOUT YOU

  • 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Bachelor's degree or MBA in Business, Marketing, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and scaling an outside sales force, preferably across multiple regions.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel to the US as needed
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs within the industry.
  • Visionary Thinking: Ability to anticipate market trends and position the company for future success
  • Inspirational Leadership: Proven ability to motivate and lead teams to achieve ambitious goals
  • Collaborative Nature: Adept at working across departments to drive unified strategies
  • Result-oriented: Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can pivot strategies as needed.

YOUR JOURNEY WITH HERSCHEL SUPPLY

The annual salary for this role falls within the range of $130,000 - $170,000 CAD + 20% bonus. We welcome diverse talents, and if you don't feel like you tick all the boxes yet in terms of experience, we'll consider adjusting the scope of work and salary range to align with your individual strengths. Please note that this role is based at our HQ in Vancouver, Canada where we have a hybrid model of Monday-Thursday in office.
