We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Research Coordinator to join our Research Services team.  The position requires a commitment to service excellence, the ability to work well with others in a team or individually, the ability to remain flexible, a self-starter attitude, excellent verbal/written communications, marketing skills, a strong desire to provide excellent client service and the ability to stay positive in times of change. This role can be based in any of our California offices: Los Angeles, Orange County, Sacramento, San Diego, Silicon Valley, San Francisco.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in gathering legal, business and competitive intelligence research

  • Synthesize information, verbally or written

  • Create, monitor and audit current awareness and docket alerts

  • Acquire requested materials, including interlibrary loan

  • Set up database passwords as needed

  • Assist the Electronic Resources Manager with resource issues, including access, upgrading, acquiring, coding and setting up training sessions

  • Assist in maintaining Research Services intranet page and on other operational projects

  • Assist with orientation and presentations for new attorneys and paralegals

  • Promote Research Services department

  • Other projects as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Library Science, Information Science, or a related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in legal and non-legal research, preferably in a law firm or corporate setting

  • Strong proficiency in legal research databases, such as Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg Law and a variety of other resources

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

The base annual pay range for this role is between $68,000-$79,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity.  A full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position will also be offered.
