What it's like to be a Northbridge Reinsurance Analyst:

Our reinsurance strategy and administration capabilities are important contributors in our capital management and Corporate Governance processes. The Reinsurance Analyst, as part of the Corporate Underwriting group and working with the reinsurance buyer, is responsible for technical and administrative support of Northbridge’s reinsurance governance structure. With a strong analytical background and mindset, the Reinsurance Analyst is responsible for preparing reports for senior management and also working closely with all departments to collect the data needed.

  • Strong command of data management tools and platforms

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze contract language and identify issues

  • Strong financial acumen and good business judgment

  • Exceptional understanding and accuracy in reviewing contract documents

  • Excellent organization and time management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities and deliver results according to deadlines

If you have:

  • Post-secondary education, working towards a technical finance or business designation.

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in the financial services industry. Property and casualty insurance industry experience is an asset.

  • Prior reinsurance experience is an asset.

  • Completion of Insurance Institute courses, including CIP, is an asset.

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.
