What We’re Looking For

Are you our next Receptionist? Do you thrive in a busy and fast-paced environment where client service is the focus? We are seeking someone with strong communication and client service skills to join our Burnaby location in a Regular Full-Time position.

Our Still Creek Branch/Office is in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore Skytrain station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

Requirements

  • 2 years of Reception experience in a fast paced environment
  • Strong customer service experience and multitasking skills
  • Busy switchboard experience with multiple lines
  • Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently
  • Good communication skills
  • Provide an organized, clean, and tidy environment, while efficient at carrying out duties
  • Work well in a structured professional environment

A Day in the Life

  • Answering and transferring incoming calls using a switchboard
  • Greeting customers (on the phone and in the office)
  • Liaising with office and building maintenance firms
  • Coordinating tasks between mailroom and reception
  • Courier duties (arrange pick-ups, maintain stock, deliveries, and distribution)
  • Placing and tracking usage of orders for various stock for the office
  • Assisting with set up of new employees (phone, name plate)
  • Distribution e-faxes
  • Training and cross-training relief staff and new staff
  • Placing service calls for office machinery

The expected salary range for this position is $35,000 to $43,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
