We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer for our Marketplace team.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, Marketplace, you’ll help ensure the quality, reliability and performance of BCAA’s Auto and Task Marketplace platforms. Working closely with developers, product teams, operations and external technology partners, you’ll test and validate new features, integrations and releases across a highly integrated, SaaS-based environment.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys working across web and mobile applications, APIs, third-party platforms and cloud services. You’ll bring a quality engineering mindset to the team, using automation, thoughtful testing and defect prevention to help us deliver reliable experiences for our customers.

Who you are
  • You’re a quality engineer who believes QA starts well before something reaches the testing stage.
  • You enjoy getting hands-on with test automation and finding opportunities to make testing faster, more reliable and more effective.
  • You’re comfortable testing across web applications, mobile applications, APIs and third-party integrations.
  • You’re analytical and curious, with strong troubleshooting skills and an interest in understanding the root cause of issues.
  • You collaborate effectively with developers, product teams, operations and external vendors.
  • You’re comfortable working in an Agile environment and contributing throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • You keep current with evolving testing tools, technologies and quality engineering practices.

What you’ll do
  • Analyze requirements, user stories, technical specifications and acceptance criteria to develop comprehensive test strategies and plans.
  • Design, develop, maintain and execute automated tests covering functional, regression, integration, API and end-to-end scenarios.
  • Maintain and improve automated testing frameworks to make releases more efficient and reliable.
  • Test web, mobile, API and third-party integrations across BCAA’s Marketplace applications and related services.
  • Conduct manual testing when automation isn’t practical or cost effective.
  • Test non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, reliability, accessibility and security.
  • Partner with developers to improve application testability and automate quality validation within delivery pipelines.
  • Support releases through smoke testing, regression testing, deployment validation and post-release verification.
  • Investigate defects and production incidents, identify root causes and validate corrective actions.
  • Test platform upgrades, configuration changes and enhancements delivered by technology vendors.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers and Vendors to clarify requirements and improve solution quality.
  • Identify opportunities to expand automation, improve testing efficiency and reduce delivery risk.
  • Help evolve the team’s testing standards, automation frameworks and overall quality engineering practices.

What you bring
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing or Quality Engineering.
  • 1–2 years of experience developing automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience testing web-based, mobile, API and SaaS applications.
  • Experience working within Agile software development teams and participating throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting production releases, troubleshooting defects and validating system enhancements.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and cloud-based applications.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on identifying root causes and preventing recurring defects.

The salary range for this position is $85,801.08 to $117,971.76 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.
