As the Program Specialist, Leadership Development, you will turn strategy into action by implementing and delivering leadership and development initiatives that activate our people, and ignite our culture. You will support the building of internal talent that will allow Arc’teryx to scale globally.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work.

The People and Culture (P&C) team partners with all aspects of the business to drive the continuous evolution of people and business practices. We seek to drive greater alignment, to develop and foster rapport, to create trust and maintain partnership throughout the organization. As the Program Specialist Global Leadership Development you will work to support the design, implementation, and scaling of programs that are founded in the Arc’teryx Leadership Code. You will play a key role in supporting the build of leadership capability across our front-line and mid-level leaders, with a focus on accelerating talent readiness and fostering agile and change ready leaders, while driving business performance to support our next phase of growth.
If you were the Program Specialist Leadership Development, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Executing on the leadership development strategic initiatives through collaboration with the business and the Talent Development team
- Collaborating with functional and regional partners to tailor and build leadership development initiatives for local deployment
- Designing and developing experiences and leadership development programming to build skills, confidence, and effectiveness in our leaders
- Partnering with Talent Development teams to deliver programs and experiences to our global employee base via existing channels (ex. LMS) and new channels (ex. Leadership offsites and summits)
- Translating business needs into leadership competency-based development milestones and program goals
- Facilitating development experiences to build critical skills and capabilities
- Creating and executing communication plans in partnership with Communications Teams for program roll outs
- Supporting the integration of the Arc’teryx Leadership Code into existing and new processes, programs and structures (ex. Performance Management, Basecamp)
- Maintaining stakeholder and cross-functional partnerships across corporate, retail and manufacturing locations
- Measuring and monitoring the effectiveness of leadership development efforts to tangible business outcomes
- Supporting the project management of initiatives

Are you our next Program Specialist Leadership Development?
- You have 3-5 years of experience in building, developing, and facilitating leadership programs
- You have 3-5 years of hands-on experience with learning authoring tools
- A bachelor's degree in Leadership Development, Adult Learning, Organizational Learning or other post-secondary education in a related field is a plus
- You have a deep understanding of the latest learning and leadership development trends
- You have experience translating concepts and theories into tangible learning
- You are a skilled facilitator, with exceptional presentation skills – both virtual and in-person
- You have experience in leading and managing projects
- You have demonstrated success in influencing and mobilizing stakeholders
- You are adaptable and ready to move with the energy of the business and readiness of the People & Culture team
- You have an understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
- You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
