As a Senior Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Cybersecurity and Tech Controls, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of cybersecurity challenges that span multiple technology domains.
Job responsibilities

  • Facilitates security requirements clarification for multiple networks to enable multi-level security to satisfy organizational needs
  • Work with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for security products.
  • Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer needs and business goals.
  • Collaborate with engineering/SRE teams to deliver high-quality products on time
  • Create and maintain a detailed product backlog, ensuring alignment with the overall product and business strategy.
  • Lead agile development processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve the product.
  • Analyze product performance data to identify areas for improvement and drive product enhancements.
  • Ensure that all products comply with industry standards and regulations related to security and data protection.
  • Stay informed about the latest security threats and trends to proactively address potential risks.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.
  • Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level security solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the technology or cybersecurity industry.
  • Strong understanding of one of the following: endpoint, virtualization, Infrastructure-as-code, hardware security concepts and technologies.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, JIRA).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Prior banking experience a plus
