B&B Contracting Group is accepting applications for Pipelayers to join our growing company. B&B is a union-affiliated employer that puts a strong emphasis on safety and offers highly competitive compensation and benefits. Pipelayers earn a wage of $30-$43 per hour depending on skillset and experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete work tasks within the trench to ensure pipe is laid to the proposed grade and alignment
  • Monitor granular backfilling and compaction of the pipe to ensure proper support
  • Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools
  • Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools
  • Promote a safe work environment and adhere to safety policies and work procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Possess a minimum of 2 years’ prior pipelaying experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with installing pipe of various sizes and materials 
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings is an asset
  • Possess strong work ethic and positive team attitude
