Position Overview: As a People Business Partner, you will support leaders and managers within a defined region or function at Atreides, partnering closely to deliver strong, consistent people practices as the business scales. This role is focused on execution, enablement, and day-to-day partnership, while contributing input and insights to broader people initiatives led by the People team.
You will work hands-on with managers to execute and support performance management, talent processes, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness within your assigned scope. This role is ideal for an experienced People Business Partner who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys translating people programs into practical, on-the-ground impact.
Team Principles:
At Atreides, we believe that teams work best when they:
- Remain curious and passionate in all aspects of our work
- Promote clear, direct, and transparent communication
- Embrace the 'measure twice, cut once' philosophy
- Value and encourage diverse ideas and technologies
- Lead with empathy in all interactions
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary HR point of contact for an assigned region or function, owning day-to-day people operations and manager support from intake through resolution
- Translate business and manager needs into clear, actionable HR deliverables, ensuring timely execution of people processes and requests
- Facilitate and execute talent processes for your assigned group, including performance cycles, talent reviews, workforce planning inputs, and follow-up actions
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and People Ops to prepare, review, and process people-related documentation and approvals, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth handoffs
- Support workforce and headcount planning by coordinating requests, documenting rationale, tracking approvals, and ensuring changes are implemented correctly
- Manage employee relations matters end-to-end, including issue intake, documentation, investigation support, and resolution
- Support managers through change initiatives by coordinating timelines, communications, and execution steps tied to team growth, restructures, or leadership changes
- Reinforce consistent people practices by coaching managers, answering real-time questions, and ensuring policies and processes are applied correctly
- Maintain accurate people data, documentation, and records, and surface trends or risks to People leadership with clear recommendations grounded in day-to-day realities
Required Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including time in an HRBP, HR Generalist, or similar role with significant hands-on responsibility
- Experience supporting a specific function or region where you owned day-to-day HR execution, not just advisory work
- Demonstrated ability to execute core HR work end-to-end, including documentation, approvals, coordination with Finance/Legal, and follow-through on people processes
- Strong working knowledge of US employment practices, with confidence handling employee relations issues independently and knowing when to escalate
- Proven ability to operate in a lean or fast-growing environment, where processes are evolving and priorities shift
Desired Qualifications:
- Background in startups, high-growth tech, or similarly dynamic environments
- Experience utilizing HR technology and workflows to embrace an automation-first mindset
- Experience partnering closely with Finance, Legal, and People Ops to implement people changes and approvals
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans
- Flexible hybrid work environment
- Additional benefits like flexible hours, work travel opportunities, competitive vacation time and parental leave
While meeting all of these criteria would be ideal, we understand that some candidates may meet most, but not all. If you're passionate, curious and ready to "work smart and get things done," we'd love to hear from you.
