Payroll/HR Representative

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time temporary Payroll/HR Representative to join our People team in Langley, BC.

This temporary position is expected to last 18 months.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Retail Payroll, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the team specifically in regards to retail payroll.

You will be responsible for:

• Administering weekly payroll and HR data for team members across a group of stores under multiple Collective Agreements, including processing weekly pay information, hires, terminations, transfers, and job changes
• Responding to inquiries from store payroll clerks, store managers, and team members regarding payroll matters.
• Reviewing and preparing payment information for various annual payouts.
• Merging and sending out documents using MS Word and Email.
• Maintaining team member data in Workday.
• Performing other duties as required.

You have:

• 1-3 years of office administration experience and a background in payroll is considered an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• An understanding of Employment Standards legislation and Collective Agreements.
• Previous experience with store-level payroll is considered an asset.
• Experience using Workday is considered an asset.
