Outside Sales Representative – Lower Mainland, BC

Richmond, BC | Lower Mainland Territory | Full-Time, Permanent

First-Year OTE: $65,000–$75,000

Base Salary: $42,000–$48,000 + Commission

About Wagonmaster Group

Wagonmaster Group is the exclusive Canadian distributor of BG Products, providing automotive maintenance products and solutions to automotive dealerships and independent repair facilities.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative with recent outside B2B sales experience and a proven ability to develop new business.

Working from our Richmond office, you will travel throughout the Lower Mainland to visit automotive dealerships and independent repair facilities, approach decision-makers and acquire new customers.

This is a hunter sales role, not an account management position. Your primary responsibility is to generate your own leads, conduct face-to-face cold calls, build a sales pipeline and win new accounts.

You must be comfortable approaching unfamiliar businesses, asking to speak with decision-makers and turning initial conversations into sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue prospective dealerships and independent repair facilities throughout the Lower Mainland.
  • Conduct in-person cold calls and approach owners, general managers and service managers.
  • Generate leads independently rather than relying on incoming inquiries.
  • Introduce BG Products, identify customer needs and present relevant solutions.
  • Follow up with prospects, overcome objections and close new business.
  • Build a sales pipeline and consistently pursue new-account opportunities.
  • Grow territory revenue through proactive prospecting and customer acquisition.
  • Maintain existing customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
  • Manage daily territory activities and take ownership of sales results.

What We're Looking For

  • Recent outside B2B sales experience is required.
  • Ideally, 2–5 years of outside sales or field-based business development experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads, develop prospects and acquire new accounts.
  • Comfortable walking into businesses unannounced and asking to speak with decision-makers.
  • Experience presenting products or solutions, handling objections and closing sales.
  • Self-motivated, persistent and results-driven.
  • Automotive industry experience is strongly preferred, including dealerships, automotive aftermarket, tires, lubricants or automotive parts.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to work from the Richmond office and travel throughout the Lower Mainland.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.

Compensation & Benefits

  • First-year OTE of $65,000–$75,000.
  • Base salary of $42,000–$48,000 plus commission.
  • Vehicle allowance and mileage reimbursement.
  • Benefits package.
  • Monday-to-Friday schedule.

Is This the Right Role for You?

You know how to create sales opportunities rather than wait for them. You are comfortable approaching unfamiliar businesses, earning the attention of decision-makers and converting prospects into customers.

You take ownership of your territory, maintain consistent prospecting activity and are motivated by measurable results.

This is not a desk-based sales role or a position focused primarily on maintaining existing accounts. Success requires recent outside B2B sales experience, proactive in-person prospecting and the ability to win new business.

If you have the experience and drive to build a territory through new customer acquisition, we encourage you to apply.
