Middle Backend Software Engineer (Java, FX)

• Develop and maintain REST APIs using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot
• Build microservices powering FX order flow, pricing, and trade execution
• Integrate APIs with PostgreSQL and other data providers
• Collaborate with front-end teams to align API contracts and workflows
• Write maintainable, testable code aligned with industry best practices
• Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to backend design
• Troubleshoot trading-related performance issues and optimize latency
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies including planning, estimation, and reviews

• 5+ years backend Java development experience
• Strong experience with Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring MVC
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices
• Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Familiarity with performance tuning and concurrency
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile workflows
• Ability to work independently in a greenfield engineering environment

• Experience with FX trading, capital markets, or financial applications
• Exposure to Kafka or other messaging systems
• Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with real-time or event-driven processing
