Contract: Full-Time
Reports to: Marketing Director, International

Your Impact

As the Marketing & Events Specialist for Canada, you will own the regional marketing strategy and execution across the Canadian market, translating business priorities into locally relevant marketing programmes that drive awareness, customer engagement and pipeline.

You will serve as the primary marketing partner for Canada, working closely with Sales, Government Affairs and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact events, campaigns and communications. You'll adapt global initiatives for local relevance, identify new marketing opportunities, and build programmes that strengthen customer relationships and accelerate regional growth.

You'll work closely with Product Marketing, Events, Creative, Sales and Government Affairs, while collaborating with international stakeholders across multiple time zones. This role reports to the Marketing Director, International, and requires a proactive marketer who is comfortable owning regional initiatives from strategy through execution, influencing stakeholders, and managing multiple priorities independently.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the Canadian regional marketing strategy and execution plan, aligning regional priorities with international business objectives and adapting global programmes to local market needs.
  • Own the regional marketing calendar, prioritising events, campaigns and customer engagement activities across Canada.
  • Plan and execute events, activations and local experiences across Canada, including trade shows, customer events, executive roundtables, summits and partner programmes.
  • Localise and deploy marketing assets, messaging and social media content for Canadian audiences.
  • Build partnerships with customers, associations and industry influencers to increase awareness and adoption of Axon.
  • Serve as the primary marketing advisor to the Canadian Sales team, supporting regional growth initiatives and identifying opportunities to increase customer engagement.
  • Recommend regional marketing investments and programmes based on business priorities, market opportunities and performance insights.
  • Manage lead capture, event ROI and post-event follow-up.
  • Track and report on event attendance, account engagement and pipeline impact, including lifted and influenced pipeline generated through marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistency across regional initiatives.
  • Support the launch of campaigns and go-to-market programmes tailored to the needs of the Canadian market.
  • Coordinate PR content, reputation management, media relations and locally relevant customer case studies.
  • Manage agencies, vendors, project timelines and cross-functional contributions.
  • Represent the Canadian market within the International Marketing team, ensuring regional priorities and customer insights are reflected in global planning.
What You Bring
  • 2–4 years of experience in B2B or B2G marketing, field marketing or events.
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
  • Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. French is considered an asset.
  • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing programmes, including events, campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Experience managing external agencies across areas such as PR, digital marketing, CRM and social media.
  • Previous experience working with or within a US-based company is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • A self-starter mindset, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity, take ownership and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Comfortable analysing programme performance and using data to inform marketing decisions and recommendations.
  • Ability to travel across Canada (approximately 10–20%) to support events, customer meetings and regional marketing initiatives.
  • A passion for purpose-driven work in technology, public safety or other mission-aligned sectors.
