Role Description

QuadReal is looking for an enthusiastic individual to fill a 12-month contract role of Manager, Corporate Finance & Accounting.  As an integral member of the Corporate Finance team, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with the full cycle corporate accounting processes. We are looking for a candidate with a strong financial acumen with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, a confident individual who possesses a positive attitude, excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities to meet strict deadlines. The corporate finance team is responsible for delivering accurate, timely and meaningful financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support with performing full cycle day-to day accounting functions, including:

  • Review of management fee calculations and accounting for fee revenues

  • Accounts receivables reconciliations and collections process

  • Preparation of financial accounting analysis for revenue recognition of complex transactions

• Review and contribute to the quarterly variance analysis for revenue reporting

• Review and support the quarterly rebilling process with cross functional departments

• Support the preparation of the Management Reporting package

• Contribute to generation of quarterly financial statements and related note disclosure

• Coordinate with various stakeholders to reconcile related party transactions  

• Support processes for annual internal with respect to internal controls over financial reporting framework and external audits including creating working papers

• Support various special projects, as they arise

Education and Qualifications:

• Professional accounting designation (CPA)

• Over 5 years of experience in a finance accounting / reporting environment

• Experience managing and supervising accountants is required

• Prior experience with Yardi is an asset

• Prior experience in the real estate industry is an asset

• Strong proficiency with Excel functions and working with large volumes of data

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $105,000 to $115,000.

The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
