JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Responsibilities: 

 

  • Handle stock carefully breaking down pallets and properly to avoid damages 

  • Shrink wrapping pallets or taping to ensure stable pallets  

  • Unloading pallets off trailers using Forklift or pallet jack 

  • Return to stock DCI returns each day 

  • Accurate selection of small will call orders and afternoon hot shot trucks 

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment 

  • Identifying inbound damaged items. Works closely with receiving department 

  • Ensure accurate reporting of incoming stock 

  • Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally 

  • To display positive work ethics and behaviour 

  • Handling product effectively in a timely fashion 

  • Perform other related duties as assigned to meet departmental objectives.  

  • Comply with all applicable regulations/laws and company policies, including but not limited to Food Safety Policy, SOP’s & regulations, Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Antitrust policies and regulations, etc.  

 

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements: 

 

  • Warehouse experience using a pallet jack and/or forklift and palletizing product.  

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • High level of physical exertion is required; repetitive, continuous lifting to 40 kg. 

  • Ability to work in a cold/freezer environment. 

  •  

  • Previous warehouse experience is an asset. 

  • Adheres to all Preferred Work Methods and Standard Operating Procedures. 

  • Has great attention to detail. 

  • Embodies quality, safety, and customer service.
