Lead Engineer, Agentic AI Platform

We’re building Assist Agents—agentic AI that transforms how first responders get the information they need. Fast, reliable, and embedded directly into public safety workflows, Assist Agents will support services for 9-1-1 centers, police vehicles, and crime centers. But we’re just getting started.

As Tech Lead, you’ll shape the next generation of Assist Agents, leading architecture, scalability, and cross-platform integration for real-time, AI-driven interactions. You’ll partner closely with product, AI, and design to bring intuitive, voice-first interfaces to life—at scale, in production, and with mission-critical reliability.

• Lead engineering execution for Assist Agents, it's services and integrations.

• Design scalable, secure, and resilient systems that support real-time AI interactions and large language model (LLM) integration.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, researchers, and AI/ML engineers to build intuitive, performant features.

• Mentor and unblock engineers across the team, raising the technical bar through code reviews, pair programming, and architecture discussions.

• Drive technical direction making decisions that balance velocity, quality, and safety in public safety environments.

• Shape engineering culture through pragmatic leadership and a bias for action.

• Steward the product lifecycle by ensuring its development, delivery and continued operation in production while addressing issues proactively to support its long-term success.

• You’ll work on a product that actually saves lives—used daily in 9-1-1 call centers, patrol vehicles, and crime centers.

We’re open to exceptional mid-senior engineers who want to grow into this role.

• Proven ability to communicate technical information effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with both local and remote teams

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Deep fluency in modern AI technologies (LLMs, LangChain, PyTorch preferred).

• Experience architecting systems that support real-time communication, AI integration, or multi-platform clients.

• Comfort operating in ambiguous, 0→1 product spaces with customer stakes that are mission-critical.

• Strong leadership, communication and cross-team collaboration skills, with a bias toward action and clarity.

• Familiarity with LLMs, edge deployments, or AI safety and reliability.
