Position Summary

Trulioo is seeking a Junior Software Engineer (Mobile) to join our high-growth Document Verification engineering team. Mobile is one of the most impactful and rapidly evolving areas within Trulioo, helping deliver seamless identity verification experiences to millions of users worldwide. At Trulioo, we leverage the best available tools, technologies, and practices to deliver world-class solutions. We’re looking for passionate developers eager to learn, innovate, and grow in a fast-paced environment.

We’re primarily looking for someone who values team collaboration, continuous learning, and personal growth as both a developer and a teammate. At Trulioo, we embrace innovation and leverage AI technologies where they make sense, encouraging our engineers to experiment with new tools, explore creative solutions, and learn through iteration - without fear of failure.

This will be a full-time, permanent position working out of the Vancouver office on a hybrid model (3-days per week in the office).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing next-generation mobile identity verification experiences across Android, iOS, and cross-platform (JavaScript) environments.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (backend, design, and product) to build intuitive and secure user experiences.
  • Working alongside a high-performing team of mobile and backend engineers to deliver high-quality, performant SDKs and applications.
  • Contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable mobile components used across customer and internal applications.
  • Taking initiative to own solutions end-to-end - from feature design to testing, deployment, and monitoring in production.

You have:

  • 1-2 years of professional software development experience (co-op, internship, or equivalent experience also welcome).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Kotli, or Swift.
  • A strong ability and eagerness to learn new frameworks and tools quickly and apply them effectively.
  • Understanding of modern mobile app architectures (MVVM, MVI, or Redux).
  • Familiarity with networking, REST APIs, and handling asynchronous operations on mobile platforms.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and experience working in collaborative development environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.

We take a market-based and data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, location, and scope. 

Please view the base salary range for this role below. The range listed is our expected compensation for the role. However, the pay offered may vary depending on a variety of factors including qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

Annual Salary
$80,000$90,000 CAD
