This isn’t just an internship—if you've got the chops, it’s a launchpad for a lifetime of success.

About Us

At AlgaeCal, we’re driven by a single idea. To end the fear of bone loss. It’s a big mission. In the United States, an estimated 54 million people have fragile bones. And they’re scared. Scared of snapping a bone. Scared of being forced to quit their favourite hobbies. And worst of all, they are scared of losing their independence.

The good news? AlgaeCal is the world’s only clinically backed natural solution to this problem. We help thousands of people say goodbye to fear, fracture, and frailty. If that excites you, you’ll find no better place to continue your career than at AlgaeCal.

About You
You’re excited by the idea of launching products into new markets and understanding what makes different regions tick. You’re analytical, organized, curious, and comfortable diving into data, trends, and regulations.

You don’t need years of experience. But you do need drive, discipline, and the desire to contribute meaningfully. You ask smart questions. You seek clarity. You follow through. And you think like someone who wants to understand how real businesses expand, scale, and succeed. And most of all––you’re an entrepreneur in the making.

About Your Opportunity
You’ll get hands-on experience that’ll be HIGHLY attractive to future employers.

How to analyze international markets.
You’ll learn how to research global regions, study competitors, evaluate customer behaviour, and identify which markets offer the strongest potential for expansion.

How to build market entry strategies.
You’ll see how to assess market size, cultural fit, regulatory hurdles, and distribution challenges — then help shape strategies tailored to each country.

How to support international partnerships.
You’ll learn how to identify local vendors, distributors, and strategic partners — and assist in reviewing agreements that support smooth market entry.

Why compliance and regulation matter.
You’ll gain a grounding in international trade rules, import/export requirements, product claims, and country-specific regulations so every expansion is legally sound.

How global operations actually run.
You’ll see how logistics, supply chain, fulfillment, and international offices work together — and support the operational setup needed to enter new regions.

Why performance metrics guide global growth.
You’ll help build and track KPIs that monitor market performance, report findings to senior leadership, and learn how data drives smart international decisions.

And just so we're clear: We won’t hold your hand forever. Once we teach you something, we’ll expect you to roll up your sleeves and actually do it. If you’re just looking to “learn” without executing—this ain’t the role for you.

What Will You Earn?

Our International Business Development Intern position offers $3500 monthly.

You’ll also enjoy the following benefits:

  • Monthly team events and activities
  • Weekly team lunches
  • Casual dress code
  • Incredible dog friendly, Yaletown office one block from SkyTrain

And above all, you’ll join a team that you’ll never want to leave. Culture is everything to us. Yes, we work extremely hard to change as many people’s lives as possible. But we know how to have fun and reward ourselves too.
