Intermediate Software Engineer, Elixir

As an Intermediate Engineer, you will be a hands-on contributor to the frontend and backend apps powering our platform. You will work extensively with Elixir on the backend and leverage your knowledge of React/TypeScript on the frontend. You will collaborate with your team to deliver new features, refactor and improve the codebase, and build a delightful, functional user experience. Additionally, you will contribute to fostering an excellent and supportive engineering culture.

This role is ideal for engineers passionate about Elixir or those with experience in similar languages and frameworks, eager to deepen their expertise.

Note: While this role requires experience in backend development, prior experience with Elixir is not mandatory. If you're coming from a Ruby, Rails, or similar background and are eager to learn Elixir and Phoenix, this role offers mentorship and support to grow your skills.

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

• Developing and shipping features across both the frontend and backend, with the ability to write React/TypeScript code from day one.

• Building customer-facing products across the stack, including database modeling, API services, and frontend UI components.

• Writing performant, maintainable, and well-tested backend code in Elixir.

• Translating design mockups (e.g., Figma) into functional and visually appealing frontend implementations.

• Collaborating closely with product designers to refine UI/UX and provide feedback.

• Working with a small, dynamic team, including direct collaboration with the founders, to help shape the product and company direction.

• Learning and contributing in a fast-paced environment while embracing continuous self-improvement.

Required Experience:

• Previous experience working with Elixir and functional programming concepts.

• Proficiency in building frontend interfaces with React and TypeScript.

• Experience building backend API services (e.g., with Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or similar frameworks).

• Commitment to writing automated backend tests and ensuring high code quality.

• Ability to translate design mockups into responsive, production-quality frontend code.
