Position Summary:

The Integration Engineering Manager is fully responsible for managing the North American Airport and Parcel Integration Engineering Department as well as Leading the overall Vancouver Office.  This role will own and drive technical expertise, efficient project execution, and set the strategic direction of the Integration Team.  Additionally, the role will foster and build a high performing team culture through the Vancouver Office.  The role is based at the Vanderlande Canadian Head Quarters in Vancouver, BC and reports directly to the Director of Engineering based in Atlanta, GA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Integration Department, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and technical excellence.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing organization, attracting and retaining top talent.  Both for the Integration Department and wider Vancouver office.
  • Single point of contact for Vancouver Office matters including alignment across Sales, Services, Engineering, and Operations leaders for all Vancouver Office related policies and topics.
  • Drive the planning and execution within projects to ensure seamless integration of a multitude of different software, hardware, and IT infrastructures.
  • Steer the Integration Department and projects toward standardization, process adherence, and process optimization.
  • Ensure the Integration Department is building strong relationships and coordinating with a global cross-functional team including IT, Software Development, OT Engineering, and Project Management.
  • Ensure potential risks are identified early and mitigated.
  • Work with other global integration department leaders to share and develop best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in implementing and managing highly complex and large-scale projects.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Experience with Software Engineering and Development.
  • Experience with building test plans.
  • Experience budgeting and tracking engineering activities.
  • Able to communicate status and progress clearly and accurately to all internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Able to travel up to 15%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Material Handling Experience within the Airport and/or Parcel markets.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive organizational success.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bring a strong entrepreneurial mindset and are willing to get into the weeds when necessary to ensure departmental and project success.
  • Project Management experience.

  • Technical knowledge/background in material handling processes.
  • Ability to quickly assess a situation and take appropriate action.

Salary range:

This is a full-time, exempt position, eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. The salary range listed represents the maximum and minimum starting base pay for this position as of the time of posting. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Salary range for this position is CAD$135,000 to CAD$170,000.
