What We’re Looking For
 

Our Community Branch Network Division is seeking a client-focused Insurance Advisor, Personal Lines. We want someone who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Our Maple Ridge branch is located in Westridge Centre, this location has been servicing the area since 1989. As a long-time member of the community, we are proud to service Maple Ridge with their auto, home and travel insurance needs.

Requirements

  • Level 2 General Insurance License
  • 2+ year experience in personal insurance.
  • Client service focused with exceptional communication skills
  • Excellent insurance product knowledge.

Asset experience that will make you stand out:

  • You have or are working towards an industry designation

A Day in the Life

  • First things first, you’ll administer a personal insurance book of business.
  • You’ll sell ICBC and private automobile coverage.
  • You’ll accomplish front line underwriting as well as writing new home, travel and umbrella policies while cross selling other products.
  • You’ll develop new business opportunities by securing renewals and cross selling new products.
  • You’ll contact clients for renewal information and provide policy and coverage information as changes occur or upon inquiry.
  • You’ll set and adhere to production budgets, including ICBC Autoplan and Private Auto Sales production.
  • You’ll ensure compliance with all insurers, Insurance Council of BC and Privacy Act rules and regulations.  
  • You’ll ensure control of ICBC inventory and correct handling of all documentation and funds.
  • You’ll handle any customer complaints with professionalism and understanding.
  • At the end of the day, we represent HUB. You’ll need to ensure that you understand and live up to our HUB values, mission and vision.

The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 to $70,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
