What We’re Looking For

Our Auto Insurance Division in our Burnaby location is seeking a client-focused Insurance Advisor, Auto. We want someone who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
 

Requirements

  • Level 1 General Insurance License.

  • 6+ months of previous insurance experience.

  • Strong communication written and verbal; someone who is experienced in building relationships with clients through a customer service mindset.

  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a high sales drive and initiative.

  • A valid driver’s license and your own personal vehicle to travel to dealership locations.

A Day in the Life

  • Committed to providing an exceptional client experience by being connected to HUB International Insurance Brokers in the bigger picture; understanding the vision, mission, and goals while effecting HUB values in our day to day operation.

  • Providing ICBC and private auto coverage advice and sales to clients – new, renewals, changes, cancellations - servicing our dealerships and supporting in the office when required.

  • Adherence to ICBC and private auto production budgets, timelines, policies, procedures and workflows.

  • Interpreting and ensuring that insurer and BC Insurance Council rules and regulations are followed including compliance with inventory, along with handling of funds and documents.

  • Handling customer enquiries and complaints appropriately.

  • Commitment to sales culture by identifying new business opportunities (cross-selling) of other HUB market offerings.

  • Commitment to personal growth and professional development to enhance skills, abilities and performance.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

The expected salary range for this position is $40,000 to $50,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
