Scope of Position:
This position plays a key role in supporting Watts’ customers and sales activities within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external partners by managing inquiries, confirming orders, preparing quotations, and offering technical support across a broad range of Watts products.
The individual will collaborate closely with sales managers, outside GTA sales representatives, warehouse and operations teams, customer service, and cross-functional departments to ensure accurate information flow, timely responses, and strong support for regional sales initiatives. This role also contributes to competitive pricing insights, supports industry events and trade shows, and prepares technical submittal packages to facilitate project success.
This position reports to the Inside Sales Manager and does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. It is based in Burlington, ON, with occasional travel within the GTA for industry events or customer support activities.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Respond to customer inquiries primarily by email and phone, providing information on, but not limited to, pricing, lead times, product availability, and basic product application guidance.
• Prepare quotations, submittal packages, and product information to support the Outside Sales Representatives with bids and customer follow-ups.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to identify required product details and recommend suitable Watts products.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to quote requested Watts products or offer as alternates.
• Provide preliminary technical support by confirming model configurations, sizing, and key requirements to ensure accurate quotations.
• Participate in the Item Master set-up by gathering necessary information from various departments and submitting for input into the ERP system.
• Create technical quotations and submittal packages using quotation software.
• Liaise with Warehouse, Operations, Customer Service, and other departments to support order inquiries and address customer needs.
• Attend trade shows and industry events as required and support with post-event customer follow-up, including responding to product inquiries and preparing quotations.
• Share competitive pricing insights and market feedback with the Sales team.
• Maintain a solid understanding of Watts’ product portfolio to provide accurate product guidance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Outside Sales Representatives, wholesalers, contractors, engineers, distributors, and other key internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience in inside sales, customer service, or a similar client-facing role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize work and manage shifting or competing demands.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn and work within ERP and quoting systems (SAP, QAD, ATS).
• Strong customer focus and sound judgment when handling multiple inquiries and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience within plumbing wholesale, HVAC, distribution, or manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, product specifications, and basic technical terminology.
• Understanding of distributor and contractor sales channels.

Working Conditions:
This role operates in an office environment. You will be required to work in the office at our Burlington location (5435 North Service Road, Burlington, ON) two days per week (Monday, Tuesday) and can work remotely three days per week (Wednesday to Friday).
