Job Description

CIMA+’s Infrastructure team combines top-notch skills with an intimate understanding of the local community to deliver customized infrastructure services for municipalities and real-estate developers. We have delivered hundreds of projects across Canada, including innovative solutions for the full spectrum of water and wastewater assets, on time and on budget.  We support clients from start to finish, whether for building brand new or assessing, repairing, and expanding on existing infrastructure.   

We have an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Project Director interested in joining and growing our infrastructure team in Vancouver, BC. Working with other members of our team, you will champion the delivery of high-quality projects that meet or exceed client expectations and delivering planned profits. You will also be a strong safety proponent /leader for our safety policies and our culture of caring.  

You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, working from home and in our downtown Vancouver, BC office.  

As the Successful Candidate, you will be responsible for:  

  • Project management and delivery of preliminary and detailed design for linear water and wastewater servicing projects  

  • Managing, planning, organizing work with technical groups in the delivery of project deliverable requirements including scope, fee, schedule, quality, health and safety, risk management, and change management plans  

  • Tracking, controlling, and reporting on project performance  

  • Timely invoicing and cash collection  

  • Developing, mentoring, and empowering the project team, including junior staff and junior engineers  

  • Maintaining regular and effective communication with clients  

  • Providing support to business development and strategic initiatives, including preparation of proposals

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering from accredited university  

  • Minimum of 15+ years of broad and extensive technical, administrative and project experience within consulting companies, specifically in water /wastewater systems (distribution, conveyance, treatment plants, pumping stations, etc.)  

  • Licensed to practice as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia and/or other provinces  

  • Strong water & wastewater technical background, including extensive knowledge of all project phases (including conceptual design, pre-design, detailed design, and construction administration)  

  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills, business development and client liaison experience  

  • Excellent, innovative, and practical customer service and a commitment to technical excellence  

  • Ability to solve problems, complete assigned tasks efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
