THE TEAM

The mission of the Enterprise Data & Analytics (D&A) Department is to democratize access to trusted Data Models and world-class Data & Analytics best practices to solution delivery teams.


THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing, and our Enterprise D&A Technology team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to join the Analytics Engineering Excellence team within Enterprise D&A, where you will transform raw data in a modern platform and create models that empower self-serve analysis, reporting, and data science. As the Lead Analytics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining data models, applying data modeling expertise, and enabling the business with high-quality, trusted datasets. THE ROLE

As the Lead Analytics Engineer, you will:

  • Develop complex SQL transformations to create beautifully designed and widely used data models
  • Embed and enrich business logic to unify the analysis of cross functional teams
  • Design and recommend data model structure and flow
  • Review and approve model changes and be the technical owner for specific data sub-domains
  • Create in Google Cloud Platform and Dataform (Google’s version of dbt)
  • Contribute to and leverage the best practices and standards of analytics engineering

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Lead Analytics Engineer has:

  • Proven skills, education, and/or applicable certifications in:
    • Excellent SQL skills with the ability to create efficient and tune efficient data models
    • Strong business modelling skills, with the ability to translate expressed requirements into data models
    • Knowledge of varied design options for reshaping data tables
    • Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as GCP, MS, AWS
    • Experience developing and maintaining AI agents is an asset
    • SAP HANA data environment is a plus
  • An enthusiastic approach to taking on new opportunities and challenges
  • The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Business and People Leadership principles

THE COMPENSATION

At Aritzia, we provide market-leading compensation packages designed to reward impact through our pay-for-performance philosophy.

The range for roles at this level is $100,000 - $300,000 per year. Total compensation may include base, bonus and/or equity depending on the role, which has the potential to be greater than this range.
