About The Opportunity 
 

We are looking for an HR Operations Specialist to join our Thomson Power Systems business unit (under Regal Rexnord), based out of Langley, BC. In this position, you will be a vital member of a small yet mighty HR team, reporting to the HR Manager for our Langley location. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented systems thinker, who is proactive, efficient and energized by a high-paced environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate balancing excellent people skills with strong analytical and technical abilities. 
 
Your responsibilities will focus on daily, administrative, and technical backbone functions within the HR, team. You will be responsible for managing crucial processes like payroll, benefits, HRIS (systems), compliance, and onboarding/offboarding, ensuring smooth execution, efficiency, and compliance to support our overall HR strategy and delivering on positive employee experience. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is passionate about innovation, solving problems and is looking to grow their career in HR. 
 
Responsibilities 

 

  • Champion Regal Rexnord values by fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance. 

  • Maintain accurate HRIS data, employee records, and support delivering people process workflows while identifying opportunities to enhance systems. 

  • Administer time and attendance and benefits programs with precision, supporting program design, and educating employees on available incentives and packages. 

  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and audit requirements while training managers and staff on HR procedures and SOPs. 

  • Deliver responsive HR support by resolving employee inquiries, guiding leaders through employee relations issues, and coordinating seminars and development sessions. 

  • Deliver onboarding and offboarding activities by overseeing hiring processes, partnering with managers, and ensuring smooth and consistent employee lifecycle experience. 

 

Qualifications And Experience 

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience required. 

  • 3-5 years of HR experience; ideally within a manufacturing and unionized environment. 

  • Experience working in a growing company or a business unit within a global parent company, adeptly handling associated complexities. 

  • Technically savvy, experience with Microsoft Office products, HRIS systems (Dayforce & Workday) with a demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. 

  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and proven ability to act promptly and effectively. 

  • Continuous improvement mindset with the drive to seek out ways to streamline and improve HR processes and initiatives. 

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively. 

  • Trusted partner and advisor with a proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and confidentiality. 

  • Demonstrated working understanding of employment laws and regulations. 

  • Passion for customer service, delivering best-in-class HR service 

  • Exceptional communication skills, providing timely updates and proactive feedback. 

Expected Base Salary Range: 74,000-84,000

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
