🎭 About the roleWe’re looking for a forward-thinking, detail-driven Intermediate Visual Designer to join our growing team. In this role you will help define and evolve the visual systems that power the gaiia brand across digital, social, product storytelling and customer-facing moments, including events and tradeshows. You’ll work closely with our growth team, product, and leadership to turn complex ideas into clear, modern designs that reflect our momentum and personality.
This is a hands-on role for a designer who wants to work across brand, motion storytelling and emerging tools, including AI, to bring new creative possibilities to life. You’ll help expand a visual foundation that will influence everything from paid campaigns, launch moments and event experiences to how we are modernizing the telecom industry in a way that feels simple and human.
This role is ideal for a designer early in their career who wants to be in a fast-paced environment, take ownership and create impactful work for a rapidly scaling SaaS company in the telecom space.
You will report to the Experience Design Lead at gaiia.
💻 What you'll do at gaiiaBrand & Creative Direction
- Help shape the creative direction of the gaiia brand across marketing, digital and product-adjacent spaces, bringing clarity and intention to every touchpoint.
- Immerse yourself in the gaiia brand and partner with content and design to evolve our visual language and strengthen the voice that carries it.
- Safeguard consistency and quality across our visual system and contribute to the guidelines that will guide our growth.
Design Execution
- Work across a broad landscape of projects including campaign visuals, social assets, product storytelling graphics, light motion design, event collateral, tradeshow booths and internal templates.
- Create refine and iterate on graphics diagrams prototypes and high-fidelity layouts that communicate with purpose and elevate understanding.
- Use AI tools to accelerate exploration uncover new possibilities and scale the impact of your work.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Growth, Product, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Design to translate ideas and insights into visual solutions that move the business forward.
- Invite feedback build alignment and lead others through the thinking behind your recommendations.
Ways of Working
- Bring a builder’s mindset with ownership speed craft and a commitment to making work that is thoughtful bold and human.
- 3+ years of experience shaping brands and products or a related field supported by a portfolio that reveals both your process and your point of view.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Suite, and emerging AI tools that expand your creative reach.
- Familiarity with product design including design systems best practices and collaborative ways of working.
- Experience producing print-ready deliverables including environmental graphics and tradeshow materials.
- Ease working independently or as part of a collaborative team engaging directly with stakeholders and partnering with Product Designers.
- Experience in highly iterative environments where open dialogue shared work and collective momentum are central to the way ideas evolve.
- A passion for storytelling and the ability to communicate concepts with clarity and conviction to internal and external partners.
- Confidence leading foundational brand exercises workshop activities and sprint reviews with purpose and intention.
- A desire to raise the design literacy of those around you helping teams see and understand the value of thoughtful design.
- Adaptability and a willingness to evolve your practice to support productive weekly sprints.
- A commitment to feedback and a readiness to refine rethink and reimagine your work.
- Comfort with writing and editing strategic or creative copy which is an essential part of our design process.
- Motion or 3D skills are a huge plus.
- Experience working in Webflow and shaping web experiences with a strong sense of craft and fidelity.
