What it’s like to be a Northbridge Executive Assistant

As the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Commercial Underwriting for Western Canada, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the efficient and strategic operation of the regional underwriting portfolio. You’ll provide high-level administrative and organizational support to the VP and broader underwriting leadership team — managing complex calendars, coordinating travel and regional engagements, preparing briefing materials, reports, and presentations, and handling confidential communications with professionalism and discretion.

You’ll also support departmental operations, including budget tracking, event coordination, and special projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys being a trusted partner to senior leadership.

We want your talent!

If you are great at:

  • Communicating clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally

  • Managing multiple priorities and staying organized under pressure

  • Taking initiative and anticipating the needs of others

  • Building strong relationships across teams and departments

  • Maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment

  • Being a team player who brings positivity and professionalism to every task

And you have:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Senior Administrative or Executive Assistant

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Power BI

  • Excellent keyboarding and data entry skills

  • Strong business acumen and attention to detail

  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, and travel logistics

We really mean it when we say we put you first. Here are a few ways how:

  • Hybrid work! You get to work from the office and at home 50/50, allowing you to manage both worlds with the ease and flexibility you need.

  • We offer competitive salaries and support your financial health

  • We help you prioritize your well-being from day one through early leave days, wellness programs, rewards, and recognition programs.

  • NBFC cares about the community and supports the causes you believe in with donation matching and team volunteer days.

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $60,000 - $90,000 per annum, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.
