Summary:

We are currently seeking a new Events and Partnerships Coordinator to join our Marketing team in Toronto, Vancouver, or Calgary.

What your team does:

The Strategic Engagement team builds meaningful connections between Clio, our customers, and our broader partner network to accelerate business growth.

Our team leads the strategy and execution behind Clio's partner marketing programs, industry partnerships, customer engagement initiatives, flagship events, webinars, community programming, and partner go-to-market initiatives. We collaborate across Marketing, Business Development, Channel Partnerships, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership to ensure every partnership and program delivers measurable business impact.

We’re constantly looking for ways to improve how we work—using technology, AI, data, and thoughtful processes to make our programs more efficient, scalable, and impactful.

Who you are:
  • You’re extremely organized and can keep track of multiple deliverables for multiple stakeholders, context switching with ease. You’re detail-oriented and thrive when managing lots of logistics while ensuring the small things don’t fall through the cracks.
  • You’re a people person who is driven, curious, open to learning, and cares about making an impact on the legal industry. You understand that successful partnership and event programs rely on a personal touch and a mutual desire to succeed.
  • You’re known for your communication skills and work well within a tight-knit, high-performing team. You’re excited by the opportunity to support a team of motivated program managers while learning about the world of legal events and partnerships.
  • You’re also curious about how technology and AI can make work better. You’re comfortable experimenting with new tools, learning how to use AI responsibly, and identifying opportunities to streamline repetitive or manual work. You don’t just follow an existing process—you’re willing to ask whether there’s a better way to accomplish the same goal.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to see real-world results from the projects you help drive.

What you’ll work on:
  • Supporting the execution of events across the Strategic Engagement portfolio, including payment processing, new vendor onboarding, purchase order creation, contracting, shipping, swag, flights, hotels, and local vendor transactions.
  • Keeping shared drives, team calendars, documentation, resources, and other sources of team knowledge organized, accurate, and current.
  • Supporting our Partnerships team with reporting, partner onboarding and communications, project management, shipping and logistics, and other administrative and operational needs.
  • Performing administrative and operational tasks across the Strategic Engagement portfolio, including website and knowledge management maintenance, report consolidation, expense reconciliation, shared inbox management across partnerships, tradeshows, and virtual events, and project management assistance.
  • Supporting ClioCon stakeholders in moving projects forward, including email correspondence with conference attendees, speakers, and sponsors; project management assistance; report consolidation; internal volunteer enablement and coordination; and other administrative and operational tasks.
  • Using AI tools as part of your day-to-day work to improve efficiency, quality, and speed while applying appropriate judgment, review, and responsible-use practices.
  • Partnering with the team to identify repetitive, manual, or time-consuming processes that could be improved through AI, automation, templates, or better workflows.
  • Helping build, test, document, and maintain AI-enabled workflows and processes that allow the Strategic Engagement team to operate more efficiently and consistently at scale.
  • Sharing learnings and effective AI practices with teammates, helping the team continuously improve how we use these tools across our programs.
  • Communicating the status, progress, risks, and results of multiple projects to your team and key stakeholders.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions around event development, partnership programs, operational improvements, and ongoing program strategy.
  • Assisting in maintaining resources for internal teams on key data points and information about Strategic Engagement programs, and proactively sharing that information with relevant stakeholders.

What you should have:
  • 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in marketing, events, partnerships, operations, or a related field.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to create processes that help you manage your work efficiently and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a willingness to ask questions, seek context, and communicate proactively.
  • A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in supporting the growth and success of marketing programs.
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced, high-volume, data-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about AI and emerging technology, with an interest in using these tools to improve the quality and efficiency of your work.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset—you naturally look for repetitive or inefficient work and think about how technology, automation, or better processes could make it easier.
  • Good judgment when working with AI-generated outputs, including an understanding that AI should accelerate your work rather than replace thoughtful review, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new software, tools, and workflows quickly.

Serious bonus points if you:
  • Have experience using AI tools to support your work, automate repetitive tasks, analyze or organize information, or improve workflows.
  • Are interested in or have exposure to the legal industry.
  • Know your way around Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Slides) and Slack.

This role is a backfill for an existing position.
