As Director, Institutional Sales, you will be a key driver of Hiive’s growth by cultivating and expanding deep relationships with premier global venture capital investors, institutions, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. You will directly generate significant liquidity and trading volume on our platform by combining strategic relationship management with a relentless sales focus. This is a high-impact, client-facing role where success is measured by revenue, deal flow, and the trust you build in the market.

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

  • Developing, owning, and growing a portfolio of institutional and ultra-high-net-worth investor relationships, bringing all of Hiive’s investment capabilities to the market.

  • Driving revenue growth by prospecting new clients, re-engaging dormant accounts, and executing targeted sales campaigns to deliver trading volume and platform adoption.

  • Acting as a trusted relationship manager, delivering consistent, high-value communication and positioning Hiive as the preferred venue for secondary transactions.

  • Expanding Hiive’s market share by opening new channels, identifying fresh pools of investors, and unlocking additional sources of capital.

  • Meeting and exceeding sales performance metrics while cultivating repeat business and long-term client partnerships.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a highly driven, influential professional with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a strong sense of urgency, a superior work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and outstanding organizational abilities.

  • Have a proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales targets while building deep, trusted relationships with institutional or ultra-high-net-worth investors.

  • Bring 6+ years of experience in investment sales, mutual fund sales, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, corporate development, or institutional sales and trading.

  • Have a relevant educational background, such as a commerce or economics degree, or exceptional academic performance in a liberal arts or science program.

  • Be FINRA Series 7 and 63 licensed or able to complete the registrations shortly after hiring.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:

  • Highly competitive salary commensurate with experience and contribution.

  • Opportunity to participate in ownership of a rapidly growing company through our employee stock option plan.

  • Comprehensive 100% employer-paid health and dental premiums, a health and personal spending account.

  • If you are based in Vancouver, enjoy a dedicated desk in our Vancouver, BC HQ, in the heart of downtown, with a fridge stocked with healthy snacks and drinks, an onsite gym, and a gorgeous rooftop amenity.

  • Enjoy a $20-per-day commuter benefit for every day you work in our Vancouver HQ.

  • An engaging social calendar, including bi-weekly catered lunches, bi-weekly “Friday bar,” team workouts, annual summer party, and holiday party, two “onsite” all-team retreats each year, semi-annual team-building events, and Hiive Women’s Network events.

  • Significant opportunities for growth into team leadership and management roles.

  • Entrepreneurial culture and a small and dynamic team.

  • Sponsorship, immigration, and relocation for exceptional candidates.
