Reporting to the Commercial Director, supporting the Hilton Aruba and The Westerly, you will lead a sales team and be responsible for group sales efforts.

What you'll do during a typical day:

  • Represent the hotel by soliciting, responding to, and negotiating complex group accommodations (generally over 50 guest rooms).
  • Negotiate contracts with customers and commission agreements with third-party agencies.
  • Initiate the preparation of proposals and contracts to advise prospective customers for the hotel guest rooms, meeting space, date, space, and rate availability. Develop and quote prices for same.
  • Implement monthly action calendar, completing plans as outlined and submitting monthly memos, evaluating plans' efficiency.
  • Conduct verbal sales presentations to prospective clients. Internally promote Hilton Hotels Corporation CORE programs. Meet with and entertain clients some of which will require travel.
  • Manage travel and tradeshow schedules, maintaining budgets and assessing return on activity.
  • Coordinate ongoing research of the industry to detect trends and related information to develop marketing strategies. Make reasonable recommendations and contribute research and ideas to improve potential from different markets.

How you'll collaborate with others:

  • Direct the solicitation efforts for sales staff while reviewing sales contracts and overseeing rate, date, and space commitments for group room sales within the hotel.
  • Monitor the sales efforts of the Group Sales Department through written and verbal communication with On Property and Remote Sales Staff
  • Coordinate the staffing, training, and performance reviews for the department. Mentor and counsel staff toward improvement.

Deliverables you'll take ownership of:

  • Ensure preparation of sales, booking and projection reports, collaborate on monthly forecast and budgets.
  • Solicit group sales by visitation contract, selective, invitation, entertaining, and field trip sales methods.
 What It Takes to Make the Stay

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of hotel sales experience
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with geographic and vertically designated markets.
  • Knowledge of the travel industry, current market trends, and economic factors.
  • Skill in the delivery of sales presentations.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time domestically and internationally

It would be useful if you have:

  • Luxury Sales experience
  • Proficiency with Delphi.fdc
  • College degree
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Papiamento, and/or Dutch

Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package to support their mental and physical well-being, so they can Thrive personally and professionally. The pay range for this role is $100,000 – $145,000 and is determined based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), and the Company's long-term incentive plan, consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
