As Director of Global Enablement Operations, you'll be at the heart of GitLab's revenue engine, leading the strategic operations that empower our global sales teams to succeed. Reporting to the Vice President, Global GTM Enablement & AI Strategy, you'll drive the systems, processes, and content that enable our field teams to effectively engage customers and drive growth. This role puts you at the intersection of technology, strategy, and people development - where you'll leverage cutting-edge AI solutions and data-driven insights to scale enablement across our global organization. You'll collaborate directly with our CRO and executive leadership team, making this role critical to GitLab's go-to-market success. The challenges are significant: managing complex global operations, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring our rapidly growing sales organization has the tools and knowledge they need to win in a competitive DevOps market.
What You'll Do- Manage, coach, and develop a team of communications experts, tool enablement managers, and an analyst
- Collaborate and iterate directly with the CRO and the CRO leadership team to provide strategic communications guidance for key revenue-impacting field initiatives
- Oversee the management and iteration of GitLab's sales content management system, ensuring CRO LT, field leaders, and field sellers, plus key stakeholders, are engaged and informed on the platform's performance/ROI
- Lead sales content and messaging initiatives that support proactive go-to-market activities as well as document internal sales processes for various customer segments and all routes to market
- Champion efforts to define, maintain, and improve communication and alignment between Go-To-Market functions including Field, Marketing and Product teams. Champion the adoption of the GTM Enablement Framework
- Oversee the enablement project management system to ensure the optimal resources are staffed against the key priorities, adjusting plans accordingly
- Research and evaluate opportunities to leverage genAI solutions to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency across enablement
- Ensure alignment of field enablement content with key internal and external events, such as new product releases, campaigns, and essential industry trade shows
- Leverage Salesforce.com CRM infrastructure and AI technologies to craft enablement communications at scale for the globe and ensure all programs are data-driven
- Measure and report on the impact of sales enablement programs and initiatives. In addition, develop a feedback loop to ensure a data-driven approach to ongoing improvements
- Proven enablement expertise, particularly in the SaaS/software/DevOps industry
- Experience leading small teams of enablement operations professionals, particularly PMO, communications, tools, and analytics
- Working knowledge of sales training technologies and methodologies; demonstrable experience with sales, partner, and customer success enablement concepts, practices, and procedures
- Relevant experience preparing, developing, and executing global sales teams' effectiveness strategies, tactics and action plans for a technology platform
- Experience leading enablement operations teams - particularly expert in leveraging AI, communications tools, enablement platforms, and project management software
- Strong ability to interact and influence effectively with C-level executives and senior field leaders
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, skilled at project management and cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.
