THE TEAM

The mission of the Digital Technology department is to design, build, deliver and operate robust, efficient, and scalable Digital technology solutions that align with our strategic, business and technology goals.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Digital Technology team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for delivering everyday luxury experiences to Aritzia’s clients by leveraging technology to meet and exceed the vision and mission of the business. As the Senior Developer, Front-End, Digital Technology, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting Aritzia’s Digital Commerce technology. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Digital Product Management, Digital Design, Omni, Enterprise Technology, Data & Analytics, and Marketing. THE ROLE

As the Senior Developer, Front-End, Digital Technology, you will:

· Contribute to innovative technology solutions that meet business needs for today and tomorrow

· Help translate business requirements into scalable, user-centric technology designs for Aritzia.com

· Contribute to the development, configuration, and integration of solutions to ensure the solution design intent is realized and works seamlessly with existing systems and website infrastructure

· Implement structured testing that ensures functionality and identify and address deficiencies

· Launch and proactively maintain technology solutions, collaborating with teammates to improve development processes

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Senior Developer, Front-End, Digital Technology has:

· Professional programming experience, preferably in React Native development

· Skills in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript

· Experience using: Node.js, Next.js, HTML, CSS, and Unit test writing

· Proficiency with native Android/iOS SDKs, and developing Hybrid applications and PWAs

· Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Mac Runners, and other tools for deployment

· Experience in defining mobile backends using Node.js and GraphQL

· Understanding of Cloudflare CDN + WAF and how it can be used to optimize the performance of APIs powering native applications

· Experience leveraging Observability + Monitoring solutions such as Instabug and Datadog to provide insight into the health of the applications

· Understanding of server-side vs. client-side rendering, user performance perception, and framework selection

· A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles

THE COMPENSATION

At Aritzia, we provide market-leading compensation packages designed to reward impact through our pay-for-performance philosophy. The range for roles at this level $100,000-300,000 per year. Total compensation may include base, bonus and/or equity depending on the role,
