The Development Advisory team is a full-service real estate platform that has offices in Vancouver, Toronto, and Calgary. About the role:

The Development Manager will be responsible for leading and executing all phases of the real estate development process — from feasibility and planning through construction and close-out. A strong understanding of construction execution, project coordination, and delivery is essential. The role includes managing development approvals, financial modeling, consultant teams, and site activities to ensure successful project outcomes aligned with client objectives.

  • Accountable for managing all project phases — with emphasis on construction execution, site coordination, and delivery — from feasibility through to occupancy and close-out.

  • Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets for all assigned real estate projects developing strong client relationships and acting as the client’s single point of contact throughout the entire project to achieve client’s development goals.

  • Manage projects and development schedules including critical project milestones dates and quality requirements.

  • Review project reports. Assist in the preparation of client correspondence, site inspection reports and PowerPoint presentations (as needed).

  • Oversee the procurements of design consultants in accordance with an approved pro forma and approved pre-development budget

  • Ability to manage and lead discussions and meetings with all relevant parties, including but not limited to clients, vendors, stakeholders and municipal authorities with an objective in achieving successful outcome.

  • Comprehensive understanding of risk register

  • Oversee CCDC contracts, construction budgets, and payment certification processes; support lender draw submissions and cost reporting

  • Advise on conflict resolution between various groups including but not limited to, clients, stakeholders, internal parties, municipalities, contractors, consultants, during development and construction phases.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Business or Urban Land Economics.

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience managing full-cycle development projects, including direct oversight of construction-phase delivery.

  • Proficiency with MS Project and Outlook, with a strong proficiency with Excel.

  • Experience in the Commercial real estate sector, Residential real estate sector or a related industry is preferred.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong ability to think through a range of possibilities and scenarios.

  • Knowledge of regulatory and Planning processes and policies, Provincial Planning Act, current development processes and trends.

  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and listening skills.

  • Proven success for building and sustaining strong relationships with team members and partners, including community stakeholders and government authorities.

  • Demonstrated experience with construction site coordination, GC/CM contract administration, and technical design reviews.

  • Familiarity with CCDC contract structures, municipal inspection processes, and construction-stage budget management is preferred

Approximate Salary Range for Role $139,000.00 to $160,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
