The Dedicated Flooring Sales Representative is accountable for developing and driving sales in the Vancouver Territory within the Protective & Marine business.

Additional Information:

This position is a field position and will be expected to travel at least 10% of the time, in the Vancouver, Canada Territory.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Responsibilities
  • Prospecting new business and making sales calls to existing accounts.
  • Develop a strategy to grow business with customers by identifying product solutions and service capabilities to meet customer needs.
  • Develop weekly selling plan and conduct sales calls accordingly.
  • Determine where customer is in the overall selling process and what steps are necessary to advance the process towards closing the sale.
  • Conduct product demos to support the selling process.
  • Coordinate Technical Service needed to support customers' application requirements.
  • Identify sources of sales leads and follow through on leads provided by store/facility personnel as appropriate
  • Manage customer complaints within lines of authority and manage process to resolution
  • Ability to maintain a discipline in pre-call planning daily and monthly activity to ensure time is maximized and the territory business plan is being executed.
  • Knowledge and proficient user of sales excellence methods in sales calls and time management.
  • Ability to evaluate growth and improvement opportunities and establish a viable territory business plan.
  • Experience and proven success in conducting outside sales calls on industrial flooring accounts to build new business and increase existing business.
  • Excellent wholesale customer service skills, including problem solving and handling customer complaints within lines of authority and manage process to resolution.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including professional presence and exhibiting confidence with customers.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.)
  • Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted drivers license.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have one (1) year business to business sales experience in industrial flooring systems.
  • Must be able to travel at least 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have a bachelors degree or higher in technical or business field
  • Have experience as a Commercial Branch Manager or Sales Rep with proven successful sales performance in a large territory; or comparable non-SW industry Sales Rep experience.
  • Have the SSPC, ICRI, ACI or other industry certifications.
  • Have (3) years of business to business sales experience in the industrial flooring industry.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of multiple corrosion prevention solutions.
