The Firm is seeking a Cross Border Personal Tax Partner to lead and expand our Canada-U.S. cross-border personal tax practice. This individual will oversee a growing portfolio of Canadian and U.S.-based individual clients requiring cross-border tax compliance, planning, structuring, and advisory services.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership capabilities, taking ownership of client delivery, team development, operational management, and practice growth. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage complex cross-border engagements while building scalable processes and teams to support continued expansion
A hands-on leader who drives cross-border tax delivery, manages team capacity, and supports both compliance and advisory engagements. The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to:
- Manage complex cross-border compliance engagements and deadlines.
- Scale teams, processes, and workflows to support growth.
- Serve as the firm's go-to resource for Canada-U.S. cross-border tax matters.
- Lead both recurring compliance work and strategic cross-border advisory engagements.
- Collaborate across Canadian and U.S. service teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Build strong client relationships and provide practical guidance on cross-border tax issues.
This is not a pure technical specialist role. It requires a partner who can run a practice.
What You Bring:
- CPA (Canada and/or US)
- 10+ years of Canada-U.S. cross-border personal tax experience.
- Strong expertise in cross-border compliance, planning, and advisory services.
- Deep understanding of Canadian and U.S. personal tax and its interaction with Canadian and U.S. tax rules.
- Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and deliver practical cross-border solutions.
- Experience leading teams, managing workflows, and scaling a growing practice.
