Responsibilities: 
  • Manage the cost control cycle throughout the project execution, by setting up projects/mandates, tracking budgets and schedules, within the project management system;
  • Calculate the initial budget on the basis of the proposal;
  • Ensure tracking of hours, expenses, costs and budget updates;
  • Monitor changes and coordination with the project team;
  • Evaluate change requests, evaluate their impact on project objectives and communicate changes to stakeholders;
  • Ensure and manage the project progress monitoring with discipline managers, including cost and schedule controls;
  • Ensure follow-up with project managers on regular updates of project forecasts, including periodic assistance in the estimation of remaining project costs, as well as necessary provisions and risks;
  • Records and resolves issues relating to project budgets and schedules;
  • Ensure the quality of prepared project status reports, executive summaries, and dashboards to provide timely updates on performance.


Requirements
  • Degree in Administration, Finance, or Engineering;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the construction industry;
  • Bilingual (an asset), but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required;
  • Strong personal IT skills (MS Office suite) and relevant software skills specific to project controls.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is $75,000–$115,000. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC’s comprehensive total rewards offering, which may include performance-based incentives, extended health and wellness benefits, retirement savings programs, and career development opportunities.
