ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE
As our Copywriter, you’ll be the voice behind the brand - shaping how we connect with our audience through words that resonate, inspire, and reflect our identity as a lifestyle brand. From product descriptions to campaign headlines, you’ll craft copy that’s clear, consistent, and full of character across every customer touchpoint.
You’ll lead the charge on daily copy decisions, making sure everything aligns with the brief, our brand guidelines, and our distinct tone of voice. For bigger shifts in direction or tone, you’ll collaborate closely with our Art Director to keep things creatively sharp and strategically sound.
This role is based out of our Vancouver HQ, with in-office collaboration Monday through Thursday so if you thrive in a creative, in-person team environment, we’d love to hear from you.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Reporting to the Art Director and working closely with the Creative, Brand Marketing, Wholesale Marketing, Digital Marketing and Product Merch and Design & Development teams, the Copywriter will be responsible for the following:
- Collaborating with graphic designers to execute campaign concepts and bring brand storytelling to life across channels, including catalogues, packaging, and seasonal messaging
- Writing compelling, on-brand copy for marketing campaigns across web, email, social, paid media, print, press materials, and product launches
- Crafting clear, benefit-led product copy that reflects our brand tone and communicates key features
- Managing multiple deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced, collaborative, creative environment
- Translating complex or technical product details into accessible and engaging language
- Contributing to the ongoing development of brand voice guidelines and supporting the evolution of our tone across channels
DELIVERABLES & KPIs
- High-quality, on-brand copy delivered on time and aligned with campaign and brief objectives
- Clear, consistent product copy across seasonal collections and core assortments
- Positive internal feedback and strengthened brand sentiment through effective written content
- Measurable improvements in engagement metrics across digital channels, including email open rates and social performance
ABOUT YOU
- 2–4 years of copywriting experience at a direct-to-consumer lifestyle or fashion brand, or in an agency setting with relevant lifestyle/fashion clients
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field is an asset
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Strong ability to interpret creative briefs and present work with clear copy rationale
- Ability to distill technical or detailed product information into accessible, engaging content
- Strong communicator with the ability to give and receive feedback
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Comfortable using AI tools to support ideation, editing, and workflow efficiency
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple projects and deadlines
BONUS POINTS
- Familiarity with SEO and UX copywriting best practices
- Familiarity with Figma
- Experience with project management tools like Monday.com or Asana
- Experience with Product Information Management platforms (e.g., Talkoot)
- Working knowledge of DTC channels, including eCommerce platforms and Meta paid advertising
YOUR JOURNEY WITH HERSCHEL SUPPLY
