REVENUE OPERATIONS TEAM

Revenue Operations drives growth by supporting our revenue-generating and revenue-retaining teams. We are working closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Channel, Customer Enablement and Customer Support to provide insights and recommendations, improve efficiency of the GTM motions, and enable GTM teams to be innovative and self-sufficient.


 
SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Commissions Specialist on our Revenue Operations team. This role can be performed from our Vancouver office, remotely, or a combination of both.

We are looking for someone who is interested in playing a critical role in execution of the commissions to GTM teams, defining compensation policies, and implementation of systems and tools to automate commissions.

As a Commission Specialist, you’ll be part of the team that values excellence and initiative, loves solving complex challenges, and cares about results. Your work will have an immediate and meaningful impact on key strategic decisions that shape Clio’s growth trajectory. You will be surrounded by a talented group of high-performing individuals, seasoned in SaaS and driven by collective success. You’ll work with our leadership in Revenue Operations, Sales, Finance to drive our GTM strategy.


 
ROLE EXPECTATIONS

  • Manage commissions process, compensation policies, and SPIFF execution and modeling.

  • Respond in a timely manner to all levels of sales management regarding all issues concerning sales compensation policies and procedures in order to develop and maintain a positive partnership. 

  • Conduct monthly meetings with GTM partners to determine needs in system changes, share training/policy information and improve efficiency of monthly commission processes.

  • Audit and report commissions, utilizing multiple databases and systems to ensure the sales force is paid accurately and timely. Assists in the maintenance of appropriate accounting and internal controls in completion of these tasks.

  • Investigate and communicate statistical and commission related concerns to RevOps leadership, and sales management in order to align incentives of the GTM teams with Clio’s GTM strategy.

  • Create and manage documentation of departmental procedures to ensure consistency in calculations, audits, and all financial processes.

  • Prepare and ensure data accuracy of the sales data used for commission/sales incentive calculations by the payroll department to make payment to quota carrying teams. Provide data to payroll on a timely basis meeting weekly deadlines.

  • Creates and runs various sales statistical reports to include: turnover, recognition programs, national programs, referral programs and award recipients.

  • Ensure data reliability with regards to commission payments and SPIFFs

  • End-to-end review of commission processing, customization and commission data and technology integrations

  • Identify business needs for reporting, scope system and process requirements as it relates to commissions and compensation plans for GTM teams.

  • Prior experience with at least one of leading compensation/commission solutions like CaptivateIQ, Spiff, or Everstage is a plus.

  • Have a general understanding of related finance or operational systems, including the Salesforce, Netsuite, Workday.

  • Synthesize GTM data, commission payouts, and quota attainment data to create presentations that make fact-based recommendations. Use data for storytelling and presenting research findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Advanced excel, Google sheet skills.

  • Proven ability to develop presentations with strong visual storytelling.

  • Experience in translating measurements into recommendations, and connecting multiple data sources and building dashboards in data visualization tools (CRMA, Looker, Google Sheets).

  • Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques (e.g. multivariable regression analysis).

  • Experience with querying  (e.g. SQL/SAQL/SOQL for collecting data from multiple data systems) or programming languages is a plus.

The full salary range* for this role is $77,400 to $91,000 to $104,600 CAD.Please note salary bands may differ based on location and local currency. Additionally, benefit offerings may differ depending on the employee's location.

*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
