The Commercial Project Manager will oversee commercial activities for large-scale projects, manage contracts, monitor project cash flow, and ensure compliance with financial and legal obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility: As part of the project team, you will shape the commercial activities for large-scale projects with assessed risk factors from the development and tender phases through the preparation, implementation, and completion phases, and actively assume commercial controlling.- Act proactively and responsibly: You will review and evaluate contractual terms and conditions and service descriptions in collaboration with the contract management team before contract conclusion, together with project stakeholders mitigate identified risks and minimize exposure, and leverage opportunities in negotiations with our clients as part of the team.
- Act holistically: You will collaboratively support and validate and collect legally binding correspondence, ensure proper escalation processes.
- Implement conscientiously: You will actively create and monitor a liquidity plan as part of the team, monitor project cashflow, and enforce legitimate claims in a goal- and result-oriented manner.
- Act reliably and protect change order claims: You will focus on validating and collecting project claims and managing customer complaints (construction time extensions, acceleration, notifications of defects, etc.)
- Communicate in a networked manner: You will be responsible for project forecast and keeping the project to margin base lines. Inclusive of collaborative dispute resolution involving subcontractors.
- Act hands-on: You will conduct project accounting transactions for projects you are responsible for.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, e.g., in industrial engineering, accounting, business administration, civil engineering, etc., or acquired technical and specialized knowledge with solid commercial basic training in the construction industry and at least 5 years of professional experience.
- Experience and Know-How: Proficient knowledge of contract management and Project Accounting, experience with construction site processes and construction schedules.
- Personality: Dedicated, goal- and solution-oriented, able to work in a team, and self-reliant.
- Working Practice: Organizational skills, fluent negotiation skills, assertiveness, communicative skills, customer-oriented, and willingness to work flexible hours.
- Travel as required to project, customer or regional sites.

- Must be able to effectively communicate, (i.e. see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with employees and/or customers; manual dexterity required for frequent reaching, and lifting of small objects, and operating office equipment.

- The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate
