As a Colourist 2, you are at the forefront of innovation on the Colour Operations team. You are a natural leader who is committed to fostering growth and excellence within the team. You have an insatiable curiosity for all things related to colour, and you keep abreast of industry standards for dyeing, RM testing and digital tools. In this role you will bring Arc’teryx colour vision to life through the colour development process working on a range of dye methods including beam, jet and dope and garment dyeing.

The Colour Operations is a close-knit team of hard-working collaborators. You will have your own projects to work on and be committed to supporting the Colourists and Assistant as needed to support the goals of the team.
If you were the Colourist 2 now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Owning a portfolio of lab dips.
- Driving a collection of longer-term projects that have a broader impact on the team that may range from researching innovative colour solutions to analysing how technology can support our process.
- Working alongside the Colour Operations Manager to mentor and train the team.
- Collaborating with internal partners, including Colour Design, Raw Materials, Quality Merch and Design, to drive colour innovation at Arc’teryx
- Staying abreast of colour quality industry best practices, including digital tools, dyeing and industry innovations.

Are you our next Colourist 2?
- You have 3+ years of experience on a colour team in the apparel industry and have a comprehensive knowledge of the colour development process.
- You have a degree in a related field or relevant combination of experience.
- You have a passion for data analysis, tools, and use it as a driver for how you approach every task.
- You are a proficient experience with PLM software, Microsoft Office Suite, spectrophotometer equipment and ASAP Natific software.
- You are a natural leader, setting the standard for excellence on the team, leading by example and inspiration.
- You know your impact and take responsibility for the goals of team, RM org and collective.
- You are a curious thinker, challenging the status quo and are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity, remaining committed to the journey of evolution.
