This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid and remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Meet Your Future Team:

Our Sustainability team is small, mighty and operates in close partnership with business functions for the highest impact. • Working cross-functionally across Arc’teryx and with our parent company, Amer Sports, to collaboratively build and monitor emission reduction roadmaps, KPIs, etc. to meet our climate goals with speed and efficiency
  • Supporting teams to act on emission reduction and other climate opportunities - designing, coordinating and monitoring the results of initiatives against our climate goals
  • Identifying, developing and ensuring we have the right tools in place to support effective and efficient program management
  • Staying informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in environmental sustainability and emission reduction. Continuously explore opportunities for innovation and improvement, leveraging new technologies and partnerships to drive positive impact and enhance the company's competitive advantage
  • Connecting with stakeholders in the apparel industry and sustainability communities for inspiration and collaboration opportunities
  • Supporting employee education and communications on climate and supporting external reporting

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Leading and managing specific emission reduction and/or inset/offset programs
  • Leading studies and evaluations with the goal of identifying further opportunities to reduce emissions and opportunities to reduce impacts on nature
  • Researching and implementing behaviour change approaches to emission, waste, and water reductions

Are you our next Climate Specialist?

  • You have an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in engineering, energy management, environmental science and/or business related field with appropriate certifications or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • You have 3+ years of experience in developing, leading and monitoring emission reduction programs and/or management consulting experience in sustainability
  • You have experience, education and/or understanding of the apparel industry and/or with supply chains
  • You have knowledge of current and emerging sustainability principles, practices, regulations and technologies related to energy management, supply chains, GHG emissions reduction, climate change mitigation and adaptation
  • You have hands-on project management skills
  • You have sound knowledge of tools and methodologies regarding climate monitoring and decision support management
  • You are curious and proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You can effectively manage multiple projects and strategize around competing priorities while operating with integrity, and maintaining personal accountability
  • You are passionate about making change and driving positive impact
  • Willingness to travel
  • You are positive, optimistic, and approach things with a good sense of humour
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
