As the Business Analyst you will act as the conduit between Technology and a cross-functional team of engineers, leaders, internal stakeholders, and other subject matter experts to deliver a best-in-class experience for our guests at scale. You will lead our team by eliciting and analyzing requirements for features and guest experience enhancements on the team’s product roadmap. Additionally, you will facilitate collaboration between business and technical resources and document business processes and/or systems and their integration.


Meet your future team:

The Guest Services Technology team at Arc’teryx aims to set the standard in the outdoor industry as premier technology partners and experts. Collaborating with our internal partners, we design and build guest service experiences that enable our agents to deliver industry-leading customer experiences. You will be working on a small but impactful team that interacts with many departments across Arc’teryx.

The team is responsible for building and maintaining our Salesforce Marketing Cloud application. The team is organized into squads that include developers, administrators, quality analysts, business analysts, and product managers. We work closely and collaboratively with many other teams, including Infrastructure, Marketing, Brand, Analytics, and Operations teams.

If you were the Business Analyst, now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Leading the discovery of our Loyalty program gathering requirements using effective business analysis techniques.
  • Developing empathy for the guest/end-user by having the ability to incorporate Human Centered Design principles and guest journey mapping.
  • Prioritizing a continuous flow of feature backlog and align with product strategy.
  • Consulting with stakeholders and acting as a conduit between stakeholders and the development squad.
  • Facilitating and managing stakeholder expectations and engagement.
  • Translating business requirements into detailed and actionable specifications and requirements documents.
  • Collaborating efficiently and effectively by building strong relationships with several cross-functional teams within the overall technology department and across the business.
  • Creating understandable visual representations to communicate complex concepts and models for various target audiences.
  • Documenting detailed user stories, process flows, systems diagram flows, and acceptance criteria that will be used for business process review, systems architecture, web development, quality assurance and change management.
  • Working with stakeholders and development squad to plan, groom and prioritise the product backlog to ensure work focuses on features that align with business priorities.
  • Organising and facilitating user acceptance testing with business users.
  • Supporting the testing and validation of system changes to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver the desired user outcomes.
  • Identifying and documenting current and future business process, changes, and improvements to facilitate change management.
  • Maintaining process and system documentation as business and systems evolve.

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Developing, updating, and sharing your extensive expertise on business areas and technologies in scope within the Business Analysts chapter and the Agile squads.
  • Preparing and coordinating system changes for releases, organizing and leading product demo sessions, and coordinating user training on Agile methodologies.
  • Consulting the Digital Marketing business teams in vendor selection and future technologies
  • Assisting the Technology leadership team with other tasks and projects as required.

Are you our next Business Analyst?

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, working on Agile projects related to e-commerce, retail & omni-channel.
  • You have experience with Agile methodologies and working in a dynamic, iterative development environment. You must be able to quickly absorb new and different types of information, modify and adapt existing knowledge, and work in a changing and evolving environment, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • You are proficient in using business analysis tools and software (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders to be able to explain, articulate, and document concepts, business processes, systems and business requirements efficiently.
  • You are detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills while managing multiple, competing priorities.
  • You excel in analytics, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. You are a critical thinker who enjoys diving into the details and seeking to understand the “how” and “why”!
  • You are able to work independently, biasing towards action to drive projects forward. You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right.
  • You are curious and eager to learn. You thoroughly investigate every problem you encounter until you uncover what truly matters.

  • Having hands-on experience with CRM platforms (i.e., Salesforce), customer data analytics, and how they interact would be strong assets.
  • Having experience with loyalty programs would be a strong asset.
  • Having hands-on experience and a previous track record of working with teams that have built and shipped loyalty products and features that customers love would be an asset.
  • Having worked in the (Outdoor) Apparel or Retail industry would be an asset.
  • Having experience with web-development would be an asset.
  • Having experience with new vendor integrations would be an asset.
