Purpose of the Role:

The Brand Specialist ensures our brand is consistently represented across all marketing channels, working with internal teams and external partners to create impactful materials that build trust, strengthen our market position, and support our business goals. 

You liaise between external agencies, internal design team, marketing disciplines (Brand, Content, Comms, Digital/Deman Gen) and internal stakeholders. You make sure there is effective connectivity between internal and external stakeholders through strong project management, communication, organization, and collaboration skills, always ensuring our brand assets serve our organizational goals and objectives.  

In this role, you will help maintain our brand identity across multiple channels to ensure consistency, clarity, and trust in all customer touchpoints. Your deep understanding of brand positioning, market dynamics, and compliance requirements in the financial industry will play a key role in building brand equity and customer loyalty.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal teams cross-functionally (including Private Wealth, Philanthropy, Recruitment and Compliance) to ensure brand consistency and alignment across campaigns, other marketing materials i.e. collateral, owned channels assets and amplified brand sponsorships   
  • Brand Governance – Be the keeper of our brand to ensure it properly reflects our established brand identity, tone & manner and appearance across all marketing materials internal and external  
  • Lead key identified projects (paid ad campaigns, brand sponsorship amplification, etc. ) which includes strategic thinking and analysis to inform the Marketing Program brief, ensuring high quality work that meets business and marketing objectives across Omni-channel, holding kick-off calls to brief in cross-functional team, and ensure alignment and approvals through process with appropriate internal stakeholders   
  • Coordination with internal Design team and external agencies and vendors i.e. video producers and other professionals on the execution of branded materials including advertisements, brochures, presentations, and owned channels digital assets, etc.  
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time and on budget and lead post-mortems for assigned key projects   
  • Monitor brand performance through research, competitor analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs); propose enhancements based on insights. 
  • Manage Marketing Budget key line items i.e. Freelance designers budget including forecasting and reconciling actuals, and approving invoices  
  • Stay informed about market trends, customer behavior, and the regulatory environment affecting the financial industry 
  • The Marketing team utilizes an omnichannel approach – you may be asked to support in any Marketing discipline as the need arises.  
  • Other relevant and related responsibilities, as assigned and as the needs of the organization change. 
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience in brand management or marketing, preferably within the financial services industry. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer. 
Compensation & Benefits Package:

This position comes with a base salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
