Job Description

AECOM is seeking a  BIM Specialist to support our Water Business Line out of our Burnaby, BC office.

As a BIM specialist for the Water Business Line you will be a champion for:

  • Engaging with capture teams by providing BIM subject matter expertise on Enterprise Critical Pursuit.
  • Assessing the current BIM state and maturity of digital and design on projects
  • Team development and mentoring.
  • Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content.
  • Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements.
  • Work with linear and vertical design teams to develop BIM standards and specifications.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of BIM Mechanical experience, or a Diploma/Certificate and 4 years BIM Mechanical experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or engineering technologist diploma 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience including BIM leadership in the water and wastewater AEC space.
  • Critical thinking to identify issues, present solutions and follow through to ensure completion.
  • Experience in executing designs for water or wastewater treatment plants
  • Executing multi discipline design projects within BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Extensive experience with Revit and Plant3D
  • Experience with Automated design using Dynamo, Orkestra and Grasshopper
